Slow Cooker Pork Roast!

This will probably be the only slow cooker pork roast recipe you’ll ever need.

I’ve done a lot of these, and this is by far my favorite spice mix. It’s a bit salty, but I like it like that, it’s good for my soul!

1 tbsp paprika
1 tbsp cayenne pepper
1 tbsp artisan salt (or less, I like it salty!)
1/2 cup honey (local if you have it)
1/2 cup vinegar (just the plain stuff, nothing fancy)
1 chopped large onion
1 pork roast (shoulder), mine was 3 pounds

Mix the three seasonings in a bowl.
Add the honey and vinegar to the seasonings bowl, and mix into a sauce.
Place the chopped onion on the bottom of the slow cooker.
Place the pork roast on top of the onion.
Cut 3-5 large slices about half way through the meat so the sauce gets in them.
Drizzle your sauce all over the pork.
Set for eight hours and wait for the magic to happen.
Pull the bones out, and shred the pork with a fork.

Makes a bunch of servings. You’ll be eating pork for daaaaaays! ENJOY!!!

Slow Cooker Pork

This seriously changed my life. I even made scrambled eggs topped with this pork for breakfast because I wanted to eat it all day long! Hopefully I haven’t talked it up too much… 🙂
